Zara joined Glynis Wright & Co in November 2019 as a paralegal and was promoted to Trainee Solicitor within a matter of six months owing to her exceptional work ethic and quick understanding of all family law issues.
Zara graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2018 with a First Class Degree in Biology. During her second year at University, she started working as a legal secretary for a local law firm, and soon became a paralegal. After graduating, Zara enrolled on the GDL (“law conversion”) at De Montfort University and was awarded the Thomson Reuters Prize for outstanding academic excellence for obtaining the highest mark in her year. Zara also obtained her highest mark in her dissertation, which involved analysing the current law on divorce. Whilst studying for the GDL, Zara continued to work as a paralegal and gained further experience in different areas of law.
After deciding that she would like to specialise in family law, Zara joined Glynis Wright & Co. Zara shares the views of the other solicitors in the practice that parties should be encouraged to resolve their issues through methods such as mediation, before turning to the Court. Where Court is the only option available, Zara aims to put clients at ease, explain the process clearly, and help them through what can often be a very daunting time.
Zara has proven in a short space of time that she is more than capable of handling cases as an able assistant to the lawyer directors.
