Lisa-Marie graduated from Leicester University in 1999 and then completed the Legal Practice Course with commendation at the College of Law in Chester.
Lisa-Marie began her training in 2001 and went on to qualify as a Solicitor at a local law firm in 2003. She is a specialist in her field having practiced family law exclusively for over 13 years.
Lisa-Marie was born and bred in Leicester and has been an active member of the legal community here. Lisa-Marie was nominated for a Pro Bono Award in 2005 for her legal advice clinic with Leicestershire charity Helping Hands and became heavily involved with the committee of the Leicester Young Solicitors Group, holding the position of Chair from 2006 – 2007.
Lisa-Marie is the newest member to the team, joining in 2016. During her career as a Solicitor, Lisa-Marie has worked locally in regional law firms and also at a corporate law firm in Leamington Spa, gaining invaluable experience and knowledge in dealing with a wide range of clients throughout that time.
Lisa-Marie is delighted to now have the opportunity to work for a niche family practice and to develop her skills further. Lisa-Marie advises on all private family law matters arising out of the union or break up of family relationships between married couples, civil partners and cohabiting couples, including the drafting of pre & post nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and separation deeds, plus divorce and civil partnership dissolution and all aspects in relation to financial claims and arrangements concerning children.
Lisa-Marie is a member of Resolution and adopts Resolution’s Code of Practice into her own practice, encouraging parties to resolve their issues by communication rather than confrontation wherever possible, often through the use of mediation or other methods of dispute resolution. Lisa-Marie understands that dealing with family problems can be a stressful and uncertain time, so her focus is on achieving the best result in the most cost-effective and straightforward manner.
